Humble Modesty Built This Town

This nation was built on people modest enough to accept their fates.  Some are destined to die in coal mine disaster, poisoned by toxic waste, or perhaps die of a treatable medical condition not covered by Blue Cross.  Others like myself, are fated to write about how modest besuits??? us.  Whether it's in a newspaper, magazine, radio, TV, it is simply my destiny.  And I accept that fate with with all due humbleness.  So should you.
